Muncie, Delaware County will lose millions if tax reform becomes reality

MUNCIE -- Mayor Sharon McShurley is telling city government department heads to prepare to make nearly $7 million in cuts to next year's budget if the Legislature passes a property tax reform bill.

McShurley said Thursday that the revenue downturn, if it becomes reality, would "absolutely" lead to cuts in the city's workforce.
