Property tax-cut battle looms in Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne Mayor Graham Richard's administration plans to fight the City Council's bipartisan proposal to cut property taxes, saying it could bankrupt the city over the next decade.

Controller Pat Roller on Monday said because the city has numerous outstanding financial obligations, it would not be responsible to reduce the amount of money the city plans to collect next year.
