Times of Northwest Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS | The Indiana Association of Realtors today joined Chicago South Shore Connections, a group of business, community and citizen leaders in support of expanding the South Shore Line in Lake and Porter counties.
The group also matched monies from its local affiliate, the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors, for a total Realtor contribution of $20,000 to marketing the need for additional commuter rail lines between Northwest Indiana and Chicago.
"An expanded South Shore Line would bring jobs, reduce congestion and pollution, and give the residents of Northwest Indiana better access to the $350 billion Chicago economy," said Karl Berron, chief executive officer of association. "Realtors are proud to join with the Chicago South Shore Connections in supporting this quality of life initiative."
