INDIANAPOLIS - Hoosiers inched closer to property tax relief Tuesday when the Indiana Senate voted 33-14 to approve a package that includes tax caps and voter control over capital projects.
"This is kind of like mile-marker 99 on a hundred-mile road trip," said Sen. Luke Kenley, R-Noblesville, the Senate sponsor on House Bill 1001. "We've got one more mile to go."
