First came the news that RV maker Monaco Coach Corp. was laying off 200 employees, the vast majority at its Wakarusa plant.

Then came the news that Wakarusa's Travel Supreme Inc. was laying off about 25 of its 230 workers.

Then, most recently, Newmar Corp. of Nappanee said it was eliminating 118 positions -- news that rubbed extra salt into RV country's already deepening wound.
