Panel weighs Daniels' tax plan

INDIANAPOLIS - At times, it was hard to tell the opponents from the proponents Monday as dozens of Hoosiers spent more than seven hours testifying about Gov. Mitch Daniels' property tax overhaul plan at the Statehouse.

Even those largely in support of the proposal quibbled over the details, and much of the testimony wasn't about the legislation so much as the general unhappiness with property taxes.
