Monroe County area unemployment inches down for April 2009

The latest state WorkOne report shows an unemployment rate of 6 percent in Monroe County for April, down two tenths of a percent from March. That places it second lowest in the state in April, with Daviess County's rate of 5.2 percent the lowest, holding steady from last month.
