Allen County home building down 24% in 2007

Allen County home construction rates eroded by nearly 24 percent last year as the national subprime mortgage crisis unfolded.

In December alone, home construction permits dropped 74 percent from the same month in 2006, according to the Home Builders Association of Fort Wayne.
