Indiana Senate Pro Tem President Budget only issue for special session

INDIANAPOLIS - Fort Wayne Senate President Pro Tem David Long on Thursday declared gambling issues off limits in the special legislative session tentatively set for mid-June.

"It has become abundantly clear to Senate leadership that there are issues...that could potentially submarine our ability to get to an agreement on a budget," he said. "Our focus over the next four and a half weeks must be solely and completely upon the passage of a new two-year budget. Any issues that would detract from that focus should be set aside."
