Toyota Motor Corp. is riding the crest of a selling wave that has put the Japanese-based company in a fight with General Motors Corp. to be the world's largest automaker in 2006.
Plans that will be announced Monday, to build the wildly popular Toyota Camry vehicle in an unused portion of the Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. plant in Lafayette, should give Toyota an even wider base of operations in the United States.
