Negotiations to get Toyota to use Lafayette plant began nearly a year ago

Next to what some governments will offer companies, the amount Indiana used to entice Toyota to Lafayette is slight.

That's what Gov. Mitch Daniels said shortly after announcing Monday that workers will start making the Toyota Camry in spring 2007 at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. plant on Indiana 38.
