Mayor Steve McMichael said New Haven is a “city on the rise” in his seventh State of the City address Friday.
“Our economy tells the story,” he said. “In 2025 alone, we saw $71 million in new investments. Over this decade, our community’s value grew from $523 million in 2019 to now over $1 billion. That’s as much growth in six years as the previous 158 years combined. Think about that for a second.”
