C&A Tool has added new capabilities to its production machining and headquarters facility in Churubusco, and plans to add six more jobs.

The company has requested a tax abatement on about $2.6 million it is spending on new equipment for its 200,000-square-foot south building on the edge of town.

The company also has received its ISO medical certification.

"Our employees continue to focus on developing new business in aerospace, medical devices and other growth markets," CEO Dick Conrow said in a statement Tuesday.

Established in 1969 as a tool and die maker, C&A now has about 500 employees at facilities in the Churubusco area. It recently announced plans to acquire the Mahle Clevite facility in Churubusco to accommodate future growth.
