Frustrated parents and teachers filed to the microphone to protest $2.4 million in cuts at Northwest Allen County Schools on Monday, with a PowerPoint page outlining the damaging effects of property tax caps projected on a large screen above the lectern. The oversized example still wasn’t enough to drive home the point: Tax breaks for homeowners equal less support for schools, libraries, cities and towns.
