Fort Wayne metropolitan area jobless rate for June 2008 leaps a full point

Unemployment rose in every county of northeast Indiana last month compared with June 2007, a monthly report from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development showed.

In the Fort Wayne metropolitan area, June unemployment was 5.6 percent, 1 percentage point higher than in June 2007.
