Keystone RV Co. has announced an unusual move for an industry ravaged by the economic recession: it plans to expand.

The Goshen recreational vehicle manufacturer has acquired a 140,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and expects to hire 200 employees during the fall. Keystone president Ron Fenech said the company would likely hire more.

Keystone has laid off workers in the past months based, Fenech explained, because of the market. Now, looking to the year ahead, the company is anticipating a slight rebound in consumer demand.

"The past year has been challenging for everyone involved in the RV industry," Fenech stated in a press release. "However, Keystone is in the fortunate position of growing our business and preparing for continued improvement in the overall market."
