PLYMOUTH - The recession has hit the auto racing world, this time locally.

Hoosier Tire & Rubber, the manufacturing arm for Hoosier Racing Tire, laid off workers today at its Plymouth plant.

Westfield plant reduces staff by 39 workers
Fort Wayne Foundry lays off all 186 workers at two plants
