IU-South Bend medical school expansion approved

An expansion of the Indiana University School of Medicine-South Bend and a new Ivy Tech Community College campus in Elkhart County each were approved Friday by the Indiana State Budget Committee during a meeting in Indianapolis.

The committee gave final approval for a 55,000-square-foot expansion to the IU School of Medicine-South Bend, at 1234 N. Notre Dame Ave.
