The Purdue board of trustees finance committee Thursday reviewed tuition increases for the next two academic years and a conceptual budget for the coming academic year.

If passed during a public hearing that starts at 9 a.m. Monday, tuition at the West Lafayette campus will increase 5 percent during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 academic years for resident students and 6 percent for returning out-of-state students, said Jim Almond, vice president for business services and assistant treasurer.
