A relationship that appeared strained between a key lawmaker and Purdue University officials in recent months looks to be warming up.

A major sign was the State Budget Committee giving the go-ahead Friday for more than $43 million in Purdue University projects, including some that had been held in limbo by Sen. Luke Kenley, the committee's chairman.
