Southwest Allen County Schools’ proposal to embrace choice is about more than opening its classrooms to more non-resident students.
The district also wants to expand opportunities for students districtwide. The plan could bring elementary signature programming – such as dual-language immersion, nature-based education and a fine arts focus – for the district’s youngest learners, Superintendent Joshua St. John has said.
Warsaw Community Schools in Kosciusko County has found success in creating such themes for its eight elementary buildings, Superintendent David Hoffert said.
