Fulton County Advisory Plan Commission Monday approved re-zoning for the Indiana Renewable Fuels ethanol plant.

The vote was 5-3. The ground is south of Indiana 110 – 127 acres west of County Road 100 East and 330 acres east of County Road 100 East.

Commission members Steve Furnivall, Don Towne and Rex Robinson voted no. Mark Kepler, Jim Widman, Roger Rose, Glen Jones and Tom LaFollette noted yes.

Fulton County Plan Director Casi Cramer stressed the vote involved only rezoning, and not the plant itself. The vote does not necessarily mean the plant will be built in Fulton County. Indiana Renewable Fuels is also looking in Marshall County.
