Richmond Power & Light deal pulls ethanol plant in

A Columbus, Ohio-based company is looking to build an ethanol plant in Richmond and company officials are hoping to buy as much methane as the Richmond Landfill can generate.

The Richmond Power & Light board Monday night approved a contract to sell methane generated at the landfill to U.S. Biofuels Ltd., of Columbus when that company builds its plant in Richmond.
