Job rolls a record for GM plant in Allen County

From the time union officials learned General Motors Co. would add a third shift at its Allen County plant, they sought to prove they could handle the workload.

And now the automaker has confirmed at least 900 workers will transfer to the truck plant to build Chevrolet Silverados and GMC Sierras. The figure is higher than the original 700 announced in September.
