A building on the Electric Works campus now belongs to Indiana Tech.

The private Fort Wayne-based university announced Monday that a Lilly Endowment Inc. grant helped underwrite the $1.5 million purchase price of Building 36. The facility is at College and Wall streets on the former General Electric campus.

Indiana Tech described the completed transaction as a key step in establishing a home for Junction 36, its advanced manufacturing innovation center initiative announced in August. It is supported by a five-year, $21 million Lilly Endowment grant.
