MUNCIE -- The trustees of the East Central Region of Ivy Tech Community College revealed more than $6 million in upcoming construction at their first meeting of the year on Thursday.

A $1 million donation will fund construction of a nursing simulation laboratory at the Anderson campus. More than $3 million has been earmarked to continue renovation of the Fisher Building in downtown Muncie, where a $135,000 contract also has been awarded to add parking. And Henry County is spending $2.2 million in food and beverage taxto renovate a former auto dealership as a site for the college in New Castle.
