Nearly all of Indiana’s corn and soybean crops are mature, and almost half of the corn has been harvested, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Indiana Crop and Weather Report.

The report, released Tuesday afternoon and covering the week ending Sunday, states that 96 percent of corn is mature and 94 percent of soybeans are shedding leaves, a sign of maturity.
Forty-nine percent of corn has been harvested as has 30 percent of soybeans.

Planting of winter wheat has increased, to 18 percent up from 8 percent the previous week. The first shoots of that crop — 2 percent — have emerged.
