Bloomington hotels are getting a significant Super Bowl bump this weekend, and so is the Monroe County Airport, where airport manager Bruce Payton expects at least 50 corporate planes to park over the weekend.
Go Express Travel/Bloomington Shuttle, the city’s airport shuttle and limousine service, also will be super busy on the weekend, with all its fleet of limos and charter buses booked by groups in Indiana for the Super Bowl.
Payton said he expects the local airport to be extremely busy beginning today as corporate jets from all over the country arrive to deliver their Super Bowl-bound passengers, then park at the airport until after the game, many departing Monday.
