LIGONIER — Millennium Industries, which is headquartered in Ligonier and produces fuel-system and drivetrain components for cars and light trucks, has been acquired by automotive industry supplier TI Automotive.

Terms of the deal announced Tuesday were not disclosed.

Millennium Industries has about 500 employees at its 150,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Ligonier. It makes fuel rails, fuel pump flanges, power steering reservoirs, and oil separators and reservoirs, among other products.

It also has a plant in Cass City, Michigan. According to Millennium Industries' website, it produces more than 2 million fuel rails and 1.5 million power steering reservoirs each year.

"Adding Millennium's successful powertrain products, operations and technical expertise increases our ability to do what we do best — develop and manufacture technology that helps improve fuel economy and performance, while reducing emissions," Bill Kozyra, chairman, CEO and president of TI Automotive, said in a news release. "Furthermore, it expands our global reach within the rapidly growing powertrain field."

TI Automotive's corporate offices are Auburn Hills, Michigan. In July, the automotive fluid systems supplier, which has about 25,000 workers in 29 countries, was bought by the Boston-based private-equity firm Bain Capital.

TI Automotive also has plants in Ashley and Ossian.
