Corridor and alternative transportation plans for Ind. 37 that address the proposed Interstate 69 extension should be included in the county’s current comprehensive land-use plan.

That’s the recommendation the county plan commission has offered the Monroe County Commissioners, who would have to formally adopt such plans before they could become part of the over arching document. While the county is in the process of updating its land-use plan — a document that will drive the vision for development for at least the next two decades — this action would amend the county’s current plan, approved in 1996.
