The severe drought of 2012 is still on the minds of many Hoosiers.
But the empirical data demonstrates that even the hardest hit groundwater supplies or aquifers have recovered from near record lows of last year.
A U.S.G.S. monitoring well in the Jasper County town of Parr shows the groundwater level was at a near-record low of 62 feet last July 30.
The level has recovered by about 36 feet to a seasonal norm of 26 feet in early June.
