Anderson in running for battery maker and its 500 jobs?

MUNCIE -- East Central Indiana is in contention for a 500-job electric car battery manufacturing plant, an economic development official said Friday.

But the Anderson area, rather than Muncie, could be among the finalists for the expanson of EnerDel Inc., an Indianapolis-based maker of lithium-ion batteries, said Roy Budd, executive director of Muncie-based Energize-ECI.
