Arkansas-based Baldor Electric Co. will eliminate 122 jobs at its Columbus plant by June 30, after deciding to move much of the facility's work to other locations.

The manufacturer of electric motors notified the Indiana Department of Workforce Development of the cuts yesterday. Limited work at the plant will continue while Baldor attempts to find a buyer for it.

The company previously laid off 50 employees at the plant beginning last summer.
