Citilink slashed service and laid off drivers Thursday to cope with looming budget deficits.

The Fort Wayne Public Transportation Corp. board unanimously voted to reduce bus routes in an effort to save $263,950 this year. The cuts will mean the reduction of nine or 10 drivers, some part-time employees, according to Ken Housden, Citilink general manager.
