Groundbreaking ceremonies and ribbon-cutting events to welcome new businesses to the area along Tippecanoe County Road 350 South don't happen as frequently these days as two or three years ago.
And, similar to commercial and retail development elsewhere, the economy is at least partly to blame for the slowdown on the south side of Lafayette.
