Huntington manufacturer plans $1.5 million expansion, 15 more jobs

Advanced Engineering Inc., Huntington, plans to invest $1.5 million in an expansion that is expected to create 15 new jobs over the next year.

The growth is the result of a contract with Warsaw-based Biomet to make surgical kits for the medical device manufacturer.

The company, which currently employs 30 people, was granted a tax abatement by the Huntington County Council in support of the proposed expansion,

Advanced Engineering was founded in 1982.
