Athletics director Fred Glass says that Bill and Gayle Cook didn’t come looking to put their name on a building when they decided to give the university $15 million — the single largest gift in IU athletics history.

But when the new, nearly $20 million basketball development center opens about a month from now, it will bear the name Cook Hall in recognition of the gift the Cooks and the Cook Group of companies have made to the “For the Glory of Old IU” capital campaign.
