Anticipating millions of dollars in funding cuts, Purdue University escaped with not much change from last year's appropriations in the new two-year state budget.

But the Indiana Innovation Alliance -- one of the school's biggest and most touted projects -- fell far short of the $70 million that Purdue President France Córdova and Indiana University President Michael McRobbie had asked lawmakers to fund during the biennium.
