During President Barack Obama's trip to Indiana Wednesday, he announced a $6.1 million grant that will help Purdue and other Indiana schools train students to develop and work with electric cars.
Purdue will lead an electric car consortium in partnership with Notre Dame, IUPUI, Ivy Tech, Purdue Calumet and IU Northwest.
