The public is invited to visit the Wabash Riverfront Planning Partnership interactive tents at the Vigo County Fair to share input on development concepts that will influence the community for years.

This opportunity is offered from 1 to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the food court on the central fairgrounds.

Visitors to the tents will encounter a variety of diagrams, visuals and images showing development concepts for the Wabash Riverfront.

“This is more than just a display — it’s an interactive experience where community members can imagine future investments and provide input into the types of activities they’d like to engage in around our river,” Wabash Riverfront Planning Partnership Chair Lori Danielson said.

Participants will have the chance to:

• Interact with landscape architects and experts from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers;

• Visualize potential developments such as buildings, restaurants, hiking trails and event spaces.

• Contribute to the planning process by indicating their preferences through an interactive activity.

• Use “investment buckets” to prioritize areas for future development based on their preferences.

This is a continuation of the community engagement that started last November. For those who cannot attend the fair, there will be future opportunities for community input.

In addition to this activity, community members can provide input through the short survey that is open now. Take the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H3DC7SC.
