Fort Wayne City Council backs tax hike to aid Citlink

The Fort Wayne City Council on Tuesday supported increasing property taxes to benefit Citilink in an effort to keep bus routes from being slashed.

The council unanimously approved a resolution to retroactively support the transit system's 2008 budget, which included an increase in property tax revenue of more than $500,000.
