Indiana House panel OKs statewide smoking ban with numerous exemptions

INDIANAPOLIS - The House Public Policy Committee voted 7-5 Wednesday morning to approve a statewide smoking ban that was diluted with amendments only moments before.

House Bill 1213 now has exceptions for bars, casinos, private clubs and tobacco stores.
