A proposed budget for the $7.5 million that could be raised through MCCSC’s school funding referendum would restore salaries to more than 70 positions, including teachers, assistant elementary school principals and counselors.
The 2011 budget offers a line-by-line look at how officials could spend the additional dollars that would be raised through a requested property tax increase. District comptroller Tim Thrasher said Friday the proposed budget “roughly follows” the $5.8 million in cuts that were made earlier this year to the general fund.
