CrossRoads RV in Topeka said it will reopen a manufacturing plant and hire an additional 125 workers because of an increase in sales in recent months.

In a statement, the company said it will reopen its Plant No. 2 so it can shorten lead times and deliver products more quickly. The plant will produce CrossRoad RV's redesigned SlingShot travel trailers, Sunset Trail Ultra Light travel trailers and other newly introduced expandable floor plans.

"Our dealers are reporting strong retail sales over the last several months and positive results from fall shows," Mark Lucas, CrossRoads RV president, said in the statement. "Although the rest of the industry may be experiencing a seasonal slowdown, we've chosen not to participate."

The company, a division of Thor Industries Inc., makes travel trailers, fifth wheels and park models.
