MUNCIE — Muncie Community Schools has fired a bus-routing consultant involved in the transportation fiasco that shut down the school district for two days at the start of this school year.
The school board on Tuesday night voted to cancel its contract with True Consultant Service, Indianapolis.
Two other school districts also have fired the firm over transportation problems: Perry Township in Marion County and MSD Martinsville.
The school board in Muncie canceled the contract without any discussion. After the meeting, board President Debbie Feick said, "Obviously, they didn't meet their obligations."
For further details, she referred The Star Press to district attorney William Hughes, who investigated the contract.
