Little Raymond's Print Shop Inc., a T-shirt printing and fulfillment company that does business as ooShirts, said Thursday that it plans to open a facility in Lawrence, creating 105 jobs by 2016.
The Berkley, Calif.-based firm said it will invest $1.2 million to equip a 26,000-square-foot building at 7800 Records Street.
ooShirts, which employs more than 100 full-time workers in California and Pennsylvania, has begun hiring screen printers and direct garment press operators for the Lawrence operation, which will be equipped with more than 25 automatic and manual presses.
ooShirts President Raymond Lei said the Lawrence site will allow his company to ship to a greater percentage of the country within two days.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered ooShirts up to $450,000 in tax credits and up to $90,000 in training grants based on the company's job-creation plans. The cities of Lawrence and Indianapolis approved additional tax abatement.
