The Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority approved funds for three projects at its meeting Tuesday.
It voted in favor of: a request for $3.5 million for the $17.6 million Buffalo Street redevelopment project in Warsaw; a request for $2.5 million for the $12.4 million Posterity Heights Scholar House project on the south side of Fort Wayne; and a request for $3.8 million for the $19.2 million Michiana Event Center in LaGrange County.
“The three projects recommended for funding truly illustrate the diversity and regionalism of our Road to One Million plan. These projects are improving quality of life in three different counties in our region, and each project is critical as we grow Northeast Indiana’s economy, brand and talent pool,” said RDA board member Jeff Turner, senior vice president of Metal Technologies.
The board’s recommendations now go to the Indiana Economic Development Corp. for review and final approval.
The board also heard two new proposals: a request for $6.9 million grant for the $34.5 million The Landing project in downtown Fort Wayne; and a request for $1 million for the $5 million Clyde Theatre renovation on the south side of Fort Wayne.
