The U.S. Department of Energy has allocated $745,000 in federal stimulus funds to the city of Bloomington for projects that will reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions, as well as improve energy efficiency.
Those projects can include energy audits and energy efficient retrofits in residential and commercial buildings, development and implementation of advanced building codes and inspections and creation of financial incentive programs for energy efficiency improvements.
