Friday will be the final day of work for 150 hourly employees of Delphi Electronics & Safety.
The company confirmed Wednesday it will permanently lay off the workers due to slow sales in the automobile industry.
"We continue to respond to demand," Delphi spokeswoman Linda Ferries said. "Customer volume requirements have dropped to the point where we have to reduce our production work force to keep our costs in line."
Following this round of layoffs, Delphi will employ approximately 3,300 people in Kokomo - 1,100 production employees and 2,200 salaried.
