Regional companies will continue to lose business as Chrysler shrinks, but they will be better off than if the automaker had been forced to liquidate, businesspeople and industry observers said.
Chrysler's nearest plants are in Kokomo and Toledo. But there are parts makers that supply the company throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. And there are 21 Chrysler dealers within a 50-mile radius of Fort Wayne.
